Toso Family

The Toso are an ancient and one of the most numerous Murano family; a big tribe of people that branched off in different family lines over the centuries, each one distinguished by a different nickname.
The Toso founders of Fratelli Toso glass factory were called “Cangioro”; the glass factory was founded in 1854 but we have news of Toso involved in glass working at least since 1600.

Toso family crest is an eagle on an overturned capitol A; the family crest is part of the glass factory trademark together with the lion, San Marks emblem, and the rooster, Murano emblem.
